Appendix C

Regulations concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods (RID)

Article 1.
Scope

§ 1. These regulations apply to:

a) International Carriage of dangerous goods in the territory of the Member States,

b) complementary rail transport, to which the CIM Uniform Rules, subject to the rules governing international carriage by another mode of transport, and to activities, referred to in the Annex to this Regulation.
§ 2. Dangerous goods barred from carriage by Annex shall not be subject to international transport.

Article 2.
Exemptions

These Regulations shall not apply, in whole or in part, for the carriage of dangerous goods, which the exemption provided in Annex. Exemptions can only be provided when, if the number of, kind of redundant traffic or provide security for the transport of container.

Article 3.
Limitations

Each Member State shall retain the right to regulate or prohibit international carriage of dangerous goods within their territory for reasons other than safety during transport.

Article 4.
Applicability of other regulations

Transport, to which these Terms and Conditions, remain subject to national law or international, used for the carriage of goods by rail.

Article 5.
Type of trains allowed. Carriage as hand luggage, luggage or in vehicles

§ 1. Dangerous goods carried only freight trains except:

a) dangerous goods authorized for carriage in accordance with Annex, with maximum quantities and the special conditions of carriage on trains other than the freight trains,

b) dangerous goods transported under the specific conditions set out in the Annex in the form of carry-on baggage, luggage or motor vehicles in accordance with Article. 12 CIV Uniform Rules.
§ 2. Passengers may not bring dangerous goods as hand luggage, luggage or motor vehicles, if they do not meet specific conditions set out in Annex.
